a stronger america
Today I watched the best pro-Kerry propaganda I’ve seen yet (and yes I did watch his slightly interesting DNC speech). This one (Real or Windows Media players) was produced by the Republican National Committee.
It shows a ton of clips of Kerry talking about Saddam and the war on terror and now Iraq. And it’s funny because it reassures me more than anything else I’ve seen that Kerry has a clear ideas on foreign policy. And that he takes nuclear proliferation more seriously than Bush.
It’s too bad most of the public thinks voting on a bill is as simple as reading the title. Bah democracy.
On a slightly related note, Outfoxed looks like it’ll be interesting. I liked Zakaria’s critique of modern news media (he said increased competition for ratings once cable and satellite got cheap drove journalistic standards down) in The Future of Freedom. I doubt that the cure for slanted media is more slanted media, but it’s interesting anyway, and often funny (thanks B). And maybe Robert Greenwald can give the left a “documentarian” with some integrity. Here’s crossing my fingers.
I still wish I was Murdoch though ;-)
