i’m alive

just got back from senior week in San Diego. i’ve never been this exhausted without getting any exercise.

highlight of the trip: crawling into bed with bobby at 6:30am after sunrise on the beach with Ann and Warren. then waking up 2 hours later to clean the house and drive home.

overall the trip was everything i’d hoped for. for four days Pomona ’05 owned mission… more highlights: kegs on the beach every afternoon, successfully avoiding sunburn, beach volleyball, hella good fish tacos, keith the fire-eater, scotch at 10:30, making out on the beach, trying in vain to keep hydrated and fed, hot lifeguards and waitresses, sleeping the first two nights, bobby’s hilarious friends from home. i remember everything i did but for the life of me i couldn’t tell you which day which things happened. and based on what my body’s telling me today, i’m confident that i made the most of it. no regrets. good good times.

as much as i remember of it i’m going to keep with me for a long time. thanks to everyone who drank or wandered or ate or smoked or chatted or passed out or laughed or worried or with me, you guys are incredible.

next up: sharing the experiences, to a lesser and more sustainable degree, with the underclasspersons who are celebrating being done this week. joe’s older brother and laurel living with us! gradumacation for all those fools who really are done with college. canoeing, road-tripping, arabicizing.
