I had promised to post more about my week and a half in Oahu… here goes.
This is the view I got one afternoon after doing some day hiking above Waikiki (which is the beach just east of Honolulu).

This is part 1 because I feel that more will come… Actually this is maybe the third or fourth major trend of goodness that has met me in Portland, but it’s what’s on my mind now so it’s part 1…
The People that Live Here. In my search for housing for the rest of this semester I visited four places tonight and at three of them I ended up meeting really interesting people and hanging out for over an hour… in fact that’s all I did from 6 to 11pm.
Just when it seemed like everything was going my way and life couldn’t be more fun and even if I’m as nice as I try to be I must’ve used up my good karma by now… some crackhead in San Francisco broke into my car.
I just came to O’ahu for my cousin Jeff’s wedding last Sunday and I’ve been touring the island on my own since then.
